Oh Snap!

What a crazy day......a Tuesday....not much to say but here goes.

I just got done purchasing my new textbooks...now I am officially broke...hehehe.
Now I am ready to start this Fall 2011 school semester, with only two semesters to go before I grad with my Associates then off to NAU for my Bachelors in Education.
With all of this swirling around it is hard for me to find two moments to pinch together so I am trying to make my self take some time to have fun....starting this friday night. I am having a sleep over at my house....just like old times....I hope all goes well, we shall see.

I am also thinking about starting a wardrobe challenge.....to see if I can where a different outfit for a whole three weeks.....each day to work and every weekend to church. Who will jump on this with me??? Leave your comments below! I shall keep everyone posted!

2nd week away from home...

Week two and going strong! I am happy to report that I am doing good and am so sorry for not posting in awhile!

So last night was grandmas birthday dinner the whole family was in attendance and we had a blast! Way o go Grams! 64 and still going strong!
I have been working full time this summer here at SCC and am ready for school to start. Get moving on finishing my degree and turning a chapter in life, I am so ready to take a few steps forth and partake in other aspects of life. But we shall see, knowing me more crazy will follow!

My boys, (I used to babysit them) have now moved back to India and I am starting to miss them greatly....I know they are having a wonderful time over there but I just want to squeeze them one more time!! Hopefully I will be able to go visit them but I don't have enough funds for school, car and a international trip!! but I shall pray!

Hey All!

Another week down and another to live through! So had a bit of fun this weekend...ended up working a little but more than I hoped but in the end it all worked out! I hope you guys are doing well.

I have a bit of news......drum roll please........I am planning a trip to India!!! I know crazy, but let me explain. A family that I have babysat for over 2 years is moving there to become a missionary .During the time spent with them I have become just part of the family and my parents have enjoyed spending time with them as well. The father is a originally from India and when he come here to Arizona to attend the university he met and fell in love with his wife, Julie. Who is one of the most patient and kind woman I know! They will be moving back to his home community and I hope to come visit them next spring or summer (may?)

I have always loved to travel and this would be a once in a lifetime experience!! I am so excited and really hope that I can make this happen. I will need to save up for the round trip ticket, acquire a passport and put together a small amount for spending money so I can bring home some fun souvenirs!!

I hope this plan will be seen through to the end....I may need to put up a call for donations! hehehe :)

Well that all for now....I better get back to work! ;)

Refreshing Weekend! :)

I hope the weekend treated you well...I know that I am feeling bit more refreshed and ready to take on another week!

On Saturday my grandmother and I went out shopping and has a wonderful lunch at Mimi's Cafe!! Such a good spot to stop and eat! :)

I got a super cute brown,gold, green maxi dress and a white with navy blue pocka dot top with a pair of knee Length Bermuda shorts!

We had so much fun walking around and being silly! Thank goodness for wonderful grandma's!!

I am soo thankful that we have such a good relationship, she is like my best friend! :)

Summer Days

Hey bloggers,

Today is Thursday, last day of work for the week and I am babysitting tonight. Should be fun!

I am sending up my thoughts and prayers today for my very special friend, Rachel who earlier this week lost her great aunt. I pray for her and her family that they would be able to hold onto the memories that were left behind by this beloved woman.

Thursdays also bring a little spark in to me because e I am looking forward to the three day weekend that they bring!! I am thinking about going and getting my nails done but I may put it off a week and just plan on relaxing this week....we shall see!! Well that all for now not much happening in Kara's world right now. Just lots of work and babysitting!! Well looks like it is going to be yet another summer day!

Memorial Day Weekend

Hey! I am fresh off from a wonderful four day weekend! I was able to spend some quality time with the family!

Friday started out slow but quickly picked up with errands and lunch with Stephanie. Then off to a oil change. Which turned out to be a bit more scary than it looks. I took the car in and once they finished I drove home and when I went to start it up again it made a Vroom, Vroom sound! I mean straight up gangster! My poor little Honda could hardly contain herself! So I went and asked my dad, my sweet wonderful father to take a look! And what did we find......the cap to my oil(located on my engine) was off and sitting about three inches over. Crazy!! Saturday was a a bit more fun. Went shopping with grams and got a beautiful summer dress that is green and gold with different ethnic prints. Soo cute! I also got a all in one scrapbook kit! I can't wait to get crafty with all my new pictures of me and my best friend Rachel!! Fun!!
Sunday came with church and a delicious lunch at Serrano's with Rachel, who just graduated from high school, treated me!! Thanks Rach!! :)
Monday was a mix of waiting for a call back from friends.....and household chores! Well at least I had no work :}

Soo, A HUGE thank you to our War Vets and all those in Active Service!!!! THANKS!!!!!

Memories....

Oh....What a wonderful weekend! I had such a fun time this past weekend because of all the fun and celebrating I was able to join in on! Happy Birthday to my best friend Rachel! A whole 18 years old and graduating at the end of this month!! We celebrated her b-day on Saturday and her party was amazing. A spring time theme and all of the quests came in sun dresses or casual beach attire. Rachel was blessed with many great gifts! On Sunday Rachel took me out and we had a wonderful lunch at Oreganos! So yummy!! Then I surprised her with a photo shoot with a god friend of ours from church.....We had so much fun! Through all the laughing and jokes we managed to get some great pictures......Don't you think?
